Just a few updates.
My Pineapple and Grape Wine are doing fine. They have entered their fourth day of fermentation. All things are going smoothly and hopefully by the end of next week, I shall be able to enjoy on this drink.
My flu saga continues. Today one colleague of mine passed me another kind of cold tablets. Asked me to try. If this tablets doesnt work, i promise to see a doc. (after dragging it for so long, it doesnt matter when i see a doc already)
Was watching Con Air and the song "How do i live" was played. That scene was very touching as how Nicholas Cage reunited with his wife and daughter. Brought a tear to my eye.
Was pondering about the subject on "Doing things from the heart." There will be somethings in our lives which we would do from the heart whereas some you cant wait for it to get done and over with in the shortest period of time. Sad to say that when you do things from the heart, it doesn't happen overnight. Usually it will stretch for a period of time.
I would like to blog this as a prelude to Ray's Birthday surprise. It is exactly 1 week away from the plan i had installed for him. Details of the surprise will be revealed next week. However, I would like to take it as a case study. This time, i surprised myself by how much i was "doing things from my heart" for the someone special in my life.
Some of traits you may find familiar when you "do things from the heart".
1) Motivation comes from inside out. More likely to succeed as compared to motivation from external means.
Motivation is always the basic push factor for anyone who wants get some things done. Y do pple work? For the money thatz the motivation. The motivation for me to plan for Ray, pretty obvious right? It is because he is someone very special to me and I want him to totally enjoy himself on his bday. To celebrate for him like no one ever had celebrated for him. This is also his first bday that he will be celebrating with me thus it adds on to the significance.
2) 200% effort. Willing to put in more effort and time.
Sometimes "no time" is such a huge excuse which has been overused. When you really want to get things done, no matter how busy you are. Things will be done concurrently. I have also been so caught up in my own world yet for things which i need to do, nothing will stop me from doing it.
3) Not giving up easily.
I relate this to something which im planning for recently. You will not believe the obstacles i faced while planning for it. However, thankfully i started planning way back thus i had time to react if things do not go according to plan. In total I had to have 3 plans just in case one doesnt work.
4) Free flow of ideas.
When i was planning for things, i think a lot. What's the occasion? The purpose? To whom? When i have finalised the overall reason for it, its time for action. Amazingly, ideas just flowed through me endlessly. I knew i had to plan something out of the world for someone special. I know it has to be out of the extraordinary. Boy, i was surprised i had that. keke
5) Happy mood despite hard work
Trust me, it was not easy for me to plan something special. Then again, i dont think i really planned for anyone else apart from Ray. During the whole preparation, i was more concerned if the things i needed to do fit my plan. Eventually, despite of the planning and coordination with people I dint know, I was more excited when the day approaches. Pray for good weather.
6) The anticipation of the recipient.
Preparation always requires more time even for that few minutes of surprise. Trust me, the result is all worth it. I cant wait to see his expression when he receives the surprise. Because I know he will be happy* (*in case if he isnt, at least i wont overrate his mood) lol.
7) Most importantly, "doing things from the heart" really comes from the heart.
It doesnt come from reminders or constant nagging. You will do it means you will do it without anyone telling you so. If it doesnt come from within, probably it never will....
Never promise anything which you have no determination to fulfil them.
If distance is going to be an obstruction, so be it.
