25 April was Dear’s 28th Hatch Day. As it was the very first celebration for him, I wanted to make it a special one. Sadly, my initial plan did not turn out, my contingency plan turned out just fine.

I really aint angry with him for not being able to fulfil this at the last min because he is a really really busy man. Busy is just an underestimation only. In fact, he was doing a favour for me which I appreciated a lot. It wasn’t meant to happen in the first place. However, James was so patient and helpful to my needs. For eg : the pick up location, Ray could not make it back to Tampines on time and James suggested that he could arrange pick up from two different locations. Along the way, I really could feel his sincerity and im very excited when this business take to bigger scale.

Initial Plan

There was one episode from one variety show that featured this romantic dinner.

The planner will pick the couple up from a designated location and chauffeur them to a secret location (usually along the beach). At the beach pavilion, it will be decorated up before hand. I saw the décor on tv and it is reli nice. It doesn’t look like some run down pavilion but some romantic setting by the beach. Seated on plush cushions and surrounded by the aroma of flower petals, the setting is just amazing.

After which, you will be served with an opening cocktail followed by main course and choc fondue. The chef will cook right in front of you.

The whole dinner will take around 2.5 – 3 hours. After which, you both will be chauffeured to another secret location where you both can take a walk along the most secluded areas in sg (mt faber, sentosa etc). Here, James (the planner), suggested Singapore Flyer to me which I had that thought too.

After the ride, they will chauffeur us home or to anywhere we want to go.

Actual Plan

Went dinner at Al Dente
Took the Singapore Flyer
A little surprise gathering with his poly mates at Harry’s
Got him a G-Shock Metal Frame watch. His old metal frame watch was since Poly days. Apparantly only Casio and G-Shock series carries digital metal framed watch. The rest are Analog versions. Shocking rite?

Made Tiramisu with my very own special word craving.

It was a very tiring day when it was approaching to the end but it was all worth it.

I had a great time planning for his bday.

Just a few updates.

My Pineapple and Grape Wine are doing fine. They have entered their fourth day of fermentation. All things are going smoothly and hopefully by the end of next week, I shall be able to enjoy on this drink.

My flu saga continues. Today one colleague of mine passed me another kind of cold tablets. Asked me to try. If this tablets doesnt work, i promise to see a doc. (after dragging it for so long, it doesnt matter when i see a doc already)

Was watching Con Air and the song "How do i live" was played. That scene was very touching as how Nicholas Cage reunited with his wife and daughter. Brought a tear to my eye.

Was pondering about the subject on "Doing things from the heart." There will be somethings in our lives which we would do from the heart whereas some you cant wait for it to get done and over with in the shortest period of time. Sad to say that when you do things from the heart, it doesn't happen overnight. Usually it will stretch for a period of time.

I would like to blog this as a prelude to Ray's Birthday surprise. It is exactly 1 week away from the plan i had installed for him. Details of the surprise will be revealed next week. However, I would like to take it as a case study. This time, i surprised myself by how much i was "doing things from my heart" for the someone special in my life.

Some of traits you may find familiar when you "do things from the heart".

1) Motivation comes from inside out. More likely to succeed as compared to motivation from external means.
Motivation is always the basic push factor for anyone who wants get some things done. Y do pple work? For the money thatz the motivation. The motivation for me to plan for Ray, pretty obvious right? It is because he is someone very special to me and I want him to totally enjoy himself on his bday. To celebrate for him like no one ever had celebrated for him. This is also his first bday that he will be celebrating with me thus it adds on to the significance.

2) 200% effort. Willing to put in more effort and time.
Sometimes "no time" is such a huge excuse which has been overused. When you really want to get things done, no matter how busy you are. Things will be done concurrently. I have also been so caught up in my own world yet for things which i need to do, nothing will stop me from doing it.

3) Not giving up easily.
I relate this to something which im planning for recently. You will not believe the obstacles i faced while planning for it. However, thankfully i started planning way back thus i had time to react if things do not go according to plan. In total I had to have 3 plans just in case one doesnt work.

4) Free flow of ideas.
When i was planning for things, i think a lot. What's the occasion? The purpose? To whom? When i have finalised the overall reason for it, its time for action. Amazingly, ideas just flowed through me endlessly. I knew i had to plan something out of the world for someone special. I know it has to be out of the extraordinary. Boy, i was surprised i had that. keke

5) Happy mood despite hard work
Trust me, it was not easy for me to plan something special. Then again, i dont think i really planned for anyone else apart from Ray. During the whole preparation, i was more concerned if the things i needed to do fit my plan. Eventually, despite of the planning and coordination with people I dint know, I was more excited when the day approaches. Pray for good weather.

6) The anticipation of the recipient.
Preparation always requires more time even for that few minutes of surprise. Trust me, the result is all worth it. I cant wait to see his expression when he receives the surprise. Because I know he will be happy* (*in case if he isnt, at least i wont overrate his mood) lol.

7) Most importantly, "doing things from the heart" really comes from the heart.
It doesnt come from reminders or constant nagging. You will do it means you will do it without anyone telling you so. If it doesnt come from within, probably it never will....

Never promise anything which you have no determination to fulfil them.

If distance is going to be an obstruction, so be it.

Looks like my flu is here to stay. Oh ya, by the way, Boiled Coke doesn't work.
Its so unexplainable about how my mom would get to know that I was not feeling well. She called me to chit chat and then realised i was not feeling well. Guess my "nose" voice gave myself away. I sounded like the female version of Donald Duck. It was very heartwarming to hear her voice. Asking me how i was and giving me specific instructions on what i can do to ease the nose block. Asking me if i had anything to eat, i have bread with me. My leftover bfast since Monday. Lol. Thanks Mommmieee.

Thanks Patrick for getting me Lemsip! He learnt that my flu was still stuck with me this morning and he went out all the way to AMK to get this pack of Lemsip. So sweeet.. Thanks Pat! Sorry I dint drink it immediately because I took the other flu tablets. Dint want to mix it up...but thanks thanks ley...

I was pretty upset today over a comment made by someone later in the afternoon. Probably I dint realised that i sound pissed. But y would i sound unhappy? God knows.

Anyway, Im feeling so drowsy now. I just sneezed 8 times consecutively. Oh my goodness, my nose its even more stuck than ever.

When are u going to leave me alone?!!

Got hit by this nasty flu since yesterday and it doesn't seem to want to go away.
Yet with all the work that is required of me, i could not afford to take any MC this week. I have not felt like this in about 2 years. Yet I am not running a fever, thats the worst thing. The virus its like contained in me waiting for it to explode. Like a sleeping volcano.
Got a few remedies hoping to get rid of this nasty virus. From Nin Du Nian Ge Geng Tang to Lemsip to Cold Tablets. The best that i heard so far is , Boiled Coke. Shall try that before i go to sleep tonite. If you are able to read if this method works tomorrow, thank God im alive, if not, probably i never did wake up already. haha. kidding la! What can happen with Coke rite?

Its raining apes and monkeys just like my spoilt facet. NON STOP! This flu feeling got into my brains and made me stop thinking straight. As it was raining, i decided to cook some porridge for dinner. As i was having dinner, suddenly, felt very lonely. As these two months, ROL has to take charge of his recruits, I had to bear not being able to see him for the moment. Probably because now that im not feeling well, i just felt that again, i have only myself to take care of myself..... I miss Mommmmieeeeee.....

i miss her asking if im ok. I miss her bringing me to the doc. I miss her bring medicine to me. I miss her covering the blanket for me telling me that i must sweat it out. I miss her waking me up with the Condensed Milk Beverage and Bread. I miss her nagging at me for not taking good care of myself.

Many a times i seem to have missed out a lot on living together as a family. For so long i have been living out alone and it really makes me cherish the time i spend with them. Sigh, probably im feeling the lack of TLC right now.....

Oh well, guess its just me and my boiled coke for the night. Good night Folks!

As we shared about the method of removing gallstones with my colleagues, one of them shared another receipe using fruits. Its called Fruits Enzyme 果酵 in chinese. The following day, she brought some for us to taste in the office. It tasted like dessert wine and made Patrick's face red as if he drank real wine. However, its not wine, it does not contains alcohol.

Apparantly this recipe is taken before going to sleep. The advantages of this drink is :-
1) Helps our body replenish certain enzymes which is lost as we age. The enzyme is essential for good health.
2) Aids blood circulation
3) Aids digestion
4) Cures insomnia. When i drank it in office, i felt "high" lor. So figured out it will solve my insomnia problem

For this recipe you can choose from a few choices of fruits. Apple, DragonFruit, Pineapple, Grapes etc. Some has said that the nicest is DragonFruit.
For my try, I will be doing Grape and Pineapple.

INGREDIENTS (For 1 Jar)
1) abt 2kg of Ripe Grapes
2) 1.5 packets of Brown Sugar
3) 1 Big Yellow Lemon

METHOD
The key to make this recipe work is that your utensils and ingredients MUST NOT come in contact with any water. Thus I would wash everything the night before and air it dry before I start on it.
DO NOT place the lemons in the fridge as it will form water vapour once it is removed from the fridge.

Pound all 1.5 pack of brown sugar until it breaks down into smaller pieces. This allows the sugar to melt faster when it ferments.
After pounding, leave aside.

Peel off the skin of the lemons including the white skin. Ensure it is as bare as possible. Slice the lemons into small pieces.

Sliced the grape into halves and place the flesh facing down. Line them up neatly until the bottom is filled.

Line up the 2 pieces of sliced lemons on top of the grapes.

Sprinkle a handful of brown sugar all over. Repeat the steps until the grapes and lemons are finished. Top the remaining brown sugar before closing the lid.

Using a airtight glass container (to use extra plastic and tissue paper to ensure that no air will enter the bottle) to contain the above method and close it.
Allow 2 weeks for fermentation to take place.
Turn the bottle Clockwise / Anticlockwise (your choice) for the next few days, this will mix the flavours together.
After two weeks, drain off the remains and seperate the "essence" into another glass bottle.
Drink it as pleased before you sleep.

I did the same twice but this time using pineapples.
After that, i will mix the Juice extract from both grapes and pineapple together in the glass bottle.

The results : Home Made "Fake" Dessert Wine. (To me lah!) Its not real wine anyway.

For these two weeks, i will keep you posted on the progress on the fermentation until the ultimate result comes out.
I tell you, when i first tasted it, I fell in love with it thatz y im doing it this week. It has this sweet taste that just makes you want to get a second serving. As for now, I can only wait for 2 weeks before I can taste this self made "fake" wine.
I accidentally cut myself when i was slicing the pineapples. This fruit is more slippery than any other fruits, thus do exercise more care if you are going to use pineapple too.

Total time spent : 4 -5 hours (including washing and cleaning up)

Stay tuned.......

Caught Definitely, Maybe with Nana last nite. Thou it was a long movie, it does triggers a lot of thoughts and comments. Simple story line but makes people think deep.

1) You may think you married the one you love most but to find at after marriage, its otherwise.
2) The person whom you thought you loved most may not necessary completes you.
3) Whatever that its written here represents my thoughts only. It does not apply to all.

Recaps on few of the scenes:-

William (The leading male actor) had to fly to New York for 2 months on a new job. Leaving his girlfriend (Emily, who became his wife eventually) behind. Worried that he will change and fall for another girl when he is in New York, William assured Emily that he will not change. Throughout his stay there, there were temptations and he almost fell for it, he controlled and waited for Emily to go over to New York where he will propose to her but to find out that she has strayed back home. (you have to watch it to know how they got married at last. Life its just a big circle, but still ended up in divorce. Headache ah!)

Breach of trust here. William thought he could trust Emily but in the end, Emily broke his heart. Of cuz, overtime, (time heals) when Emily and William got to see each other at a party, things started to bloom again BUT ended up in divorce. Humans are soooo complicated arent we?

Trust. How do you know when you can completely trust someone? By feeling? By fact? Or simply just trust for sake of trusting? Trusting comes from within if not forget it. Yes I admit I do selective trusting. Not all people are worth trusting. Yes, I do not trust easily too and if I do, better not breach it, I will turn mean. *evil grinz*.
______________________________________________________________________

One of the few touching scenes were the part where William after losing his well-paid job took up a lowly paid job at a library in order to get links to find a lost book for April (one of the ladies who turned out to be William’s true love).

I truly believe from doing things from the heart. Only when you truly want to do something for someone special for you, your heart will automatically want to do things for the person. Even if the process of getting it done is tough, it is all worth it. But if one is feeling stress about this, then probably will think twice.

I remember there was this joke that went around the office previously. We were talking about the wife of a big boss. She gave birth to another boy and the boss is given her a Rolex as a “reward”. Then he was like telling the guys of our company. Women, must start with a “Casio” then “Swatch” then slowly increase the value. Cannot give them the best in the beginning cuz they will start to compare and if the value is lower than previous then the women would feel “unimportant”. THIS IS ONLY AN EXAMPLE!

___________________________________________________________________

Maya. William’s daughter whom helped him find his happiness back.

I guess im not so magnanimous in this case. However, I try to keep a neutral stand on parent’s affairs.
____________________________________________________________________

People always say that things will always change before and after marriage. Indeed the show does replicate true life incidents. Y would the perfect marriage end up in divorce? IN the show, they of cuz did not go into the details y but we can only imagine. But then again, I do see married couples still being lovey dovey despite having kids at home. Kudos to J’s hubby, still doting her as if they just got together. Hahaha. Got a SGDX,XXX.00 diamond necklace for pressie and HOLIDAY! Gosh i want a holiday too.

To J : Remember to bring back pressies from your USA trip hor, dun forget us *wink*

So conclusion, its pretty subjective in each case. I would feel that yeah, things will be different, there will be ups and downs but eventually there will be more happy times together. As for me, I can only wait and see and pray hard.

I’ve got this Gallstone removal method from Patrick. The originator is by Dr Lai Chiu Nan. For more info, you can log into the following link

http://foodasmedicine.blogspot.com/2006/12/how-to-remove-gallstones-from-your.html

Gallstones may not be everyone's concern. But they should be because we all have them. Moreover, gallstones may lead to cancer.

Two risk factors for gallbladder disease increase by sixth to eight times. These are

1. heavy intake of saturated fat and cholesterol in the diet, which increases bile salt production, and
2. being overweight.Obesity not only increases the frequency of the condition, but it also makes surgery to correct it more difficult and more hazardous.

Ingredients

3 bottles of Apple juice (Recommended Brand : Berri)
Epsom Salt
Olive Oil (Cold pressed)
2 Grapefruits

Method (1 week procedure)

Day 1 – Day 5

For the first 5 days, take 4 glasses of apple juice everyday or eat 4 or 5 apples, whichever you prefer. Apple juice softens the gallstones. During the 5 days, eat normally.

(What I did : Drink it in the morning, afternoon, evening and before going to sleep (all before meals)

Day 6

Have something light for breakfast and lunch. On the sixth day, take no dinner. Avoid food after 2pm.

(What I did : Had bread in the morning + half plate of spaghetti in the afternoon.)

At 5.50pm. take a tablespoon of Epsom Salt (magnesium sulphate) with a glass of warm water (100ml cold + 100ml hot). Leave the solution alone for about 10 mins. At 6p.m. drink it with a straw (which I took from any bubble tea shops)

At 7.50pm. repeat the same as above. Drink at 8p.m.

Magnesium sulphate opens the gallbladder ducts.

At 10pm. Take 1/2 cup (125ml) of olive oil with 180ml Grapefruit juice (freshly squeezed). Mix it well and hard (using a shaker) and drink it. The oil lubricates the stones to ease their passage. SLEEP IMMEDIATELY. Lie to your right side of your body (because gall bladder is on your right side). Curl your knees up as close to your chest and hold it with your hands for at least half an hour. After that sleep as per normal.

(What I did: I squeeze grapefruit juice out after drinking the solution at 8p.m, I kept it in the fridge because I prefer it chilled. At 9.30p.m, I make sure im all ready to go to bed immediately after drinking this. Thus at 10p.m sharp, I mixed it up and drank it. Rinsed the oily bottle and jumped onto bed. Curled myself up and try to sleep. Before I know it I was asleep until the next morning)

(Important tip: Drink slowly for better result, avoid food after 2 pm. and expect more output the next day.)
Day 7

The next morning, you will find green stones in your stools. Usually they float.

(What I did : I collected samples, ahhahah, pictures below)

Drink the Epsom Salt Solution in the morning.
After 2 hours, drink the last Epsom Salt Solution.
After another 2 hours, drink one cup of apple juice
After another 0.5 hours, eat some fruits
After another 1 hour, eat something light (im having cornflakes)
By evening 6p.m, you can return to your normal eating habits. (im going to have PIZZA!)

Even if you don't have any symptoms of gallstones, you still might have some. It's always good to give your gallbladder a clean up now and then. You'll find that your digestion is much better afterward."

My take on this

I had just seen the most disgusting thing that came out from my body. Never will I ever believe that I have such things in me until today. One of my reason to see if this method work is Ray. His stomach keeps giving him problems. So I wanted to prove if this method works and it did!

Timing is very crucial in this process. I had to set alarm for all the things I needed to do including drinking my apple juice on time.

Drinking Epsom Salt Solution and OliveOil+Grapefruit juice may not be the bestest thing you will ever feel like doing but its part of the process. Force is the word and its really not so bad to know that it can save your life.

On the 7th day, best if you are at home most of the time but if not possible it is still alrite but you just want to make sure that you a clean toilet nearby. You will experience yourself visiting the toilet more often on the 7th day, some even on the sixth day after drinking Epsom salt solution. Thus its advisable to stay at home.

Your appetite will improve tremendously but before not to overeat because you would have gone hungry for more than 24hours.

You will never believe it until you try and see it for yourself.

For those who are faint hearted, the following picture may not be suitable for viewing.

Viewer’s discretion needed. P.s : These are GALLSTONES only. Doesnt it look like Coco Pops in Green?

Life is indeed a roller coaster but the difference with my roller coaster is that its always down. I can say that life is unfair but that’s the way life is.

Recap on the recent happenings, I should be cursing and swearing with all my might but instead somehow I managed to still joke and smile. Although yes, all the things lost were indeed painful but dunno ley, somehow, I still managed to survive.

Lost
-a sudden drop in my bank account
-17,000 miles from UA
-Four studded Cross Diamond Necklace
-Chance of making SGD30k extra
Last to add to the list
-2k additional for payment of taxes
And….. I may be facing some serious law issues….

When all these happen, I can jolly well whine and feel as if the whole world is treating me bad. I may even think of the unthinkable things that I can do to myself in order not to bear the monetary loss pain. But is it worth it?

I cant deny it was definitely a heavy stone I have to carry, I even thought of getting back in contact to those pple who owes me $$ and demand for payment. But think again, whats the use? If they know they had borrowed money, they will naturally return the money to u if they are your real friends. To choose to “lose contact” with me and then in turn for me not to get back at them, I wash my hands……

Believe it or not, this entry doesn’t sound as depressing as it is. In fact, im writing this entry in an optimistic manner. The heavy stone is still there but im thankful that I have gained more than what I have lost…

Gain
-My mom’s still with me
-Better and stronger sibling ties

I think just the 2 points above made me realized that I’ve got more than wad’s lost. I realized how much my two brothers have grown up and im so proud of them.

Here I declare, George & Bryan Low, Im truly proud of you both!

Now you see, im trying to prove a point that whether to live on with life or completely destroy yourself its in our hands. We steer our lives the way we want it to be. In fact, I feel that this should be a lesson learnt for me. It just teaches me not to be so kind to all people. Some just ask for help when needed but when you are in need, they run away.

This is the fugly side of life, Live it…
