Day 6

What is a Must eat when you visit Shanghai. XIAO LONG BAO!!!

Apart from the $1 per tray xiao long bao, I had guo tie (with soup inside), bun (also with soup inside) plus something which i never tried before, Salty Beancurd which is known as "Dou Fu Nao". The ingredients inside includes shrimps, chilli oil, parsley, soy sauce. I'll stick to sweet bean curd.

THIS is breakfast lorr...

Judging from what i had for breakfast, I totally had no space for lunch so we decided to eat desserts. The variety of desserts they have there are simply amazing. You can have desserts served as a meal, not a problem at all.

I had this durian thingy. YEs, there is durian in China. Heavenly...........

Lisa accompanied me today. We went for some Hong Kong Style Food. I love the Mushroom and Chees Tarts. Isnt it sooo tempting? We decided to take the MRT to "New World"

It is a typical chill out place. The structure of the buildings are very westernized. It feels as if you are in a European country.

After which, we decided to head to Puxi Wai Tan. Just take a look at the lights. The locals and tourists just sit by the river and enjoy the view there. Simple yet mesmerizing.

I had something better... Bing Tang hu Lu and the VIEW!!!

Day 7

I did not take much of pictures today. KH accompanied me for a full day of shopping.

Went 'Ke Ji Guan' (New XiangYang Market) and "Qi Pu Road".

Overspent, Overwalked, Overate..... what to say...

Went for a foot massage later that evening. Saw this salon that provides manicure and pedicure. I did nail art and pedicure for only SGD28.00. how cool is that?!

i got a rose in the process.. how i got it shall be remained a mystery

Day 8

After doing such pretty nails, i did not want to do anything much with my fingers. Including washing hair, so I went to the salon to have my hair wash for SGD8. Plus i have got a new hair style... nice??

Before i departed, Alvin took me to this Dim Sum restaurant where Senior Minister and Andy Lau once patronized. *dreamz*
Thatz about all for my Shanghai trip..
Shanghai, A shopper's paradize....

DAY 4

Let me continue on with my eating.. opps i mean "business" trip.
Ok .. Alrite. I admit it was a 40% Business and 60% Leisure trip for me. HAha.
Alrite, this is wad i had for lunch on Day 4 of my trip. Soup & Bread + HUGE drink + Main Course, Sirloin TSteak + Fruit Salad.
It cost only SGD6. Tell me HOW to resist such prices and food. TELL ME HOW....

Sugar was soo sweet, she accompanied me part two of shopping later that evening. We went Chang Li Road. Its a night street market plus eating place.

I did something very adventurous. I decided to eat at the street stalls.

First I had "Ba Bao Zou". It is similiar to Black Glutinous Rice but its slightly sweeter.

Next, i had BBQ chix. it is the only thing that i dared to eat. The rest were like Chix's heart, lamb and not-too-sure-what-the-rest are.

Lastly, followed by a Fried mee. Not too bad too.

Shopped till about 11pm. my legs gave way and headed back to the hotel.

Day 5
Met Kate for lunch today. She is 2 months preggy! Congrats kate! She brought me to this Korean Restaurant where we had BBQ pork which we use cabbage to wrap over with. Gosh, the last that i tasted this was when I went Cheju. I have never eaten that ever since.

Im going to meet Janice later in the evening. She is flying into Shanghai for one night.Bunking in with her and probably going shopping tomorrow.! Serious Shopping here I come....!
Watch out!

Day 1

I arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport. Alvin came to fetch me as the driver had decided to call it quits. Checked in my hotel, not too bad. Clean but the bed was pretty hard. I cant complain as i took the most expensive room they had there. Take a look at my penthouse. Y would i call it a penthouse? Because it had 2 storeys lor. Shiok.
I am not a very picky person so im alright with just clean bed, clean toilet and clean floor.
Overall rating 2/5.

Day 2
I went to Gennex's Shanghai office for the first time. Pretty open concept type of office. As I did not take breakfast, i was starving when lunch arrived. Lisa suggested Italian food. I was all on for it. Now i understand y they will eat at restaurants. Their prices are equivalent to our food court prices.
Look at what 3 girls ate. One fruit pizza. One seafood Pasta. Green Tea Smoothie and Soup. The soup is absolutely heavenly. Creamy and Thick. First time that i tasted fruit pizza. Yummmyyy..... will head back there one more time before I leave.
After which came dinner. Alvin suggested to go for Shanghainese food. AUTHENTIC! I was courageous to try their spicy beef. It was beef cooked in chilli oil. OMG. It was super spicy yet i could not stop eating it. Shanghainese food are little sweeter rather than salty. It has a unique taste to it. Kinda have the liking for the lotus with rice cooked in syrup.
Sweeet... totally.

After dinner, we decided to take a walk outside. it was rather chilly in the night. The temp dropped below 20 degrees and i did not bring out any sweater. Sugar accompanied me for some Haagen-Dazs in that cool temp. it was rather crazy, yet the experience is unforgettable.
Shanghai is well known for their lights. Pictures are not as fascinating but it is worth the extra look.

Day 3

Today i decided to take breakfast before i enter the office. Pampered myself wit Hot Cocoa and a sandwich.
Then came lunch. Lunch was at a Hong Kong Style Cafe. once again, I feasted! One Polo Bun, Some french beans, Gong Bao Chix and "Gong Zai" Mee

Someone please tell me how not to get fat with the way i ate.
Luckily I decided to skip dinner today.
Raymond suggested that i visit their Giggolo Bar. According to another of my colleague, he says that it cost around RMB500 to make them serve u. *faint*
Alrite... Stay tuned for more updates....
