I have been putting back this way too long! I was back in JB last weekend and i was imparted the invincible receipe of making The Ondeh-ondeh. Let me emphasize it again, it is THE Ondeh-ondeh. Not just any normal kuey.. lol ... ok la, it is a good receipe but when it comes to me doing it, then its a goner.
I realised there were 2 kinds of ondeh ondeh. One was the normal pandan flavoured another was the sweet potato kind. I finally had hands on today. Below u can see the Naked Ondeh Ondeh and the Dressed Ondeh Ondeh.
As i have mentioned, it is afterall my first try. Some mistakes I have made in fact LOTS of mistakes but then I learn from it and I will make it better the next time round. It was still edible, thank goodness. Will be trying it again over the weekend! Never say die. Wanna at least have the effect of gula melaka spurting out when u suppress the ball with your tongue. The effect is smiliar to squeezing your pus-filled pimple, the way the pus finds its way to the mirror in front of u... whhaha. I have juz made most pple go eeeeeeeeeeee....
Ended up with a messy kitchen as usual but a new skill learnt!
